I have a Canon IS3, and I’d like to get polarizing and neutral density filters, do they make them for non SLR cameras? The ones I was looking at online have threads, so how will that work with a non SLR?

Digital Slr Camera, Can I Use My Sigma Autofocus Lenses?

I have the following 2 Sigma lenses, Both were used with my old 35mm Minolta 7000 SLR camera:
1. Sigma AF zoom 28-70
2. Sigma AF zoom 70-210
Is there any way I might be able to use them with a modern Digital SLR camera?
What Digital Slr Camera Would You Recommend For A Beginner In Photography?

i just want to point and shoot, high iso, low iso, fast shutter speed, low shutter speed and all that stuff
- inexpensive
- more bang for my buck
- $500 and under
- 8 to 10 mp

March 1st, 2010 I’m going to be starting college soon with a major in photography. I’ve done research, but I don’t know SLR’s very well. I’m going to be a studio photographer with a focus in portraits and fashion modeling. I currently have a budget of $3000 for the camera and $1500 for other equipment/accessories.
