I just got a Nikon D3000. I love it but im really picky about keeping things nice and clean but want the camera to be best protected. im new to the SLR scene, Should i store the camera with the lens in the camera bag attached? separate? Thanks

I have a 18-200mm SLR digital camera Nikon Lens.
I am looking for something that will let me zoom in a lot closer. Is there some sort of teleconverter I could get to attach to it? Or would I have to save up for a 400mm or 600mm lens?

I know generally the camera has to be of the same brand; ie. Canon lens for a Canon camera. I was just wondering does anybody know of a digital slr camera that can do this.
If not, maybe you can tell me which camera you have and if it is good or not.
